FAQ

Should I be concerned with my privacy?

You have the utmost right to be concerned! If you wish, you can point an AI agent to our website and make it read our source code. P2P handshake between users happen over our servers, but all sensitive data like chat, voice, screen sharing transfers between you and other peers only.

Whats the limit to file transfer?

Each file can be up to 4 GB. Files up to 100 MB can also be downloaded from anyone in the room who already has them; bigger ones only while the sender is still in the room.

How many people can connect at the same time?

Up to 20 people per room. Since it's peer to peer, everyone watching your screen gets their own copy from your connection, so your upload bandwidth is the limit. A few viewers are fine on most home connections; if someone's stream stutters, lower the bitrate or frame rate in Settings → Sharing.

Whats the best codec to choose while streaming?

VP9, the default, works well for most people. AV1 looks sharper at the same bitrate, especially text, but needs a recent computer to keep up. H264 is the lightest choice for older or low-power computers.

My stream doesn't have sound, what should I do?

When you pick what to share, turn on "Also share tab audio" (for a tab) or "Also share system audio" (for your entire screen) in the browser's share window. A single app window can't share its sound. If you're the one watching and hear nothing, click anywhere on the page: browsers keep sound off until you interact with it.

Who can join my room?

Only people you send the link to. Every room has its own unique key, a long random code that's practically impossible to guess, and rooms aren't listed anywhere.

Where can I choose a password?

You don't need one: the room link already works like a password. Only share it with the people you want in the room, and if it ends up somewhere it shouldn't, just create a new room.
